## How We Work Together

We offer virtual and in-person appointments for residents of BC.
Getting started looks a little different depending on which
naturopathic doctor you see.

NATUROPATHIC DOCTOR

### Dr. Stephanie Bayliss, ND

A two-hour first visit, then a planned series of follow-ups every two to three weeks, with a check-in message after each visit.

### New patient application

#### Start here

### Initial appointment

#### 2 hours

We go through your full health history, symptoms, and goals, and do any relevant physical exams. Testing is ordered as needed. You leave with your first treatment recommendations and your follow-up visits booked.

### Follow-up appointments

#### 45 minutes

Usually every two to three weeks over about the first 3 months, booked in advance. After each visit, you get a check-in by secure message to see how the plan is going.

### Review and ongoing care

#### Every 1-3 months

A review appointment once your planned follow-ups are done, typically around 3 months, where we look at your progress together and decide what ongoing care looks like for you. For most patients, that means ongoing maintenance visits every 1-3 months so we can keep building on what's working.

### Initial appointment

#### 75 minutes

We go through your full health history, symptoms, and goals, and do any relevant physical exams.

Testing is ordered as needed, and you leave with your first treatment recommendations.

### First follow-up appointment

#### 60 minutes

Typically four weeks after your first visit. We review your results and start your individualized treatment plan.

### Ongoing care

#### Every 1-6 months

Follow-ups every 1–6 months to monitor your progress and adjust your plan as needed.

They take about 20–30 minutes and are completed online.

Send recent results

Any bloodwork or test results from the past year, as PDFs.

Choose your setting

For virtual visits, find a quiet, private spot with a good connection. For in-person visits, we're at #3-1140 Fort Street.

## Common Questions

Do you offer virtual appointments?

Yes! Currently offering virtual, phone and in-person appointments. When scheduling your appointment, specify what type of appointment you would prefer.

Are my visits covered by health insurance?

Currently, Naturopathic Doctor visits are not covered under the Medical Services Plan (MSP) in BC, other than a small portion if you have premium assistance status. However, most extended benefit plans cover services provided by Naturopathic Doctors. More insurance plans are providing a ‘health spending account’ where all of your benefits could theoretically be directed to Naturopathic services, in which case 100% of your fees would be covered. Check with your extended benefit plan to see what your plan covers.
